Some people are not audio/visual learners. Most of us need the hands on experience in order to understand the concept. My classes are made up of 94% tactile learners because their reading and listening for understanding scores are very low. These materials will offer an opportunity for concrete and tangible understanding. Once my students begin to experience experiments through a hands-on approach, the ability to infer, interpret, conclude and create logic within their minds, will be enhanced. Take for example, the volcanic experiment; students will be able to experience how a volcano works and draw conclusions that chemicals are dangerous.
