The students do amazing work in the theatre room. They love creating stories and improv with handmade puppets out of paper bags. The problem with the paper bags is... well... they break. As the students begin their story, their puppets begin to fall apart. The engineering of puppets is a great asset, but when it comes to actually creating the story, it can get pretty tough. We have about 4 or 5 really cheap puppets that are in constant use because the kids enjoy them so much. These puppets will give more students the ability to use sturdy, well-made puppets and actually be able to create a story that can have a good plot to it without them falling apart.
These puppets will greatly improve the students' storytelling and retention in a fun interactive way.
Not only will the students be able to create stories, but they will also be able to integrate all of STEAM while using these puppets. Science experiments could be explained by puppets. They could even use stop motion to create a short video. The possibilities are endless, and the students are ready to give it their all!
