Students will be engaged with a hands on experience with the sandy beach. They will get to learn about the beach without having to dip a toe in the sand! This experience goes hand in hand with our school wide exploration of the ocean. Our second grade classes unit of study is the Sandy beach. This project is designed so that all of our students will be included and be able to access and enjoy the sandy beach. Our hope is that students will get an inside view of the importance of the sandy beach, and how it effects ocean life.
