These supplies will help my students learn about the history of World War II through the life story of Olympic runner and Prisoner of War survivor, Louis Zamperini. They will be able to hold a book in their hands and understand why World War II was so impactful for the world and United States citizens. These materials will also allow my students to connect their lives with the life of a WWII hero and inspiration. My students will be able to express their learning creatively with the use of art which will help address the various learning styles of my students. The markers and crayons will be the tools they can use to illustrate what they have read and the tape allows them to use their interactive journals to keep all their reading assignments together.
