The majority of our students are English language learners and need engagement to learn academic vocabulary. My school is located in a high poverty neighborhood where experiencing hands-on activities or engaging in enrichment is only a reality at school. Although these students have limited experiences, they crave a challenge and have a zest for learning! My classroom is diverse with special needs students, the gifted and talented, limited English speakers and everyone in between. The challenges are great, and the possibilities are endless!
