When kids can have choice, it makes a huge difference in your classroom. Having to sit in the same chair all day can get very boring and start to hurt your bum. Giving students different options, like stools, cushions and lap desks, will motivate them to work longer and take their work more seriously. For example, when having to work on a test for 45 minutes your bum can start to get numb. Having a softer cushion to sit on will help them to focus on what they are doing for a longer period of time.
