Being a teacher who is part of the Americorp program, I am doing a service project with my English as a Second Language students! Because my students are ESL, I decided it would be best to make a care package for immigrants who are coming into the country through the Immigrant Welcome Center here in Indianapolis, Indiana. My students will be responsible for assembling the care packages and writing welcome letters which will be attached to the package. This will be a great way to teach students community service and to get supplies to those who may be in need. I hope you will support our project. Our students work so hard and it would make them happy to be able to support other people who are newcomers to the United States as well!
