All students need engaging lessons with materials they can touch and ideas they can understand. Reading out of a textbook is not going to be memorable. History needs to have a connection with our young scholars. Colorful, informative visuals around the room and large maps showing the areas we are studying will allow a deeper understanding of our content.
Bringing the ancient civilizations into the classroom will allow my scholars to interact with the past! I want them to play knucklebones and see the Pythagorean cup. I want them to see the Gordian knot when we are studying Alexander the Great. I want history to come alive!!
