Having a kidney table in our classroom will let me provide all my students with an interactive and comfortable small group instruction time. Since we have rectangular tables, it makes it difficult to meet the different needs of every student at once.
Small group instruction on the kidney table, can provide a comfortable environment and boost the confidence of students who might not otherwise participate in a lesson or activity.
Small group instruction encourages teamwork as everyone in the group is working towards achieving the same goal.
This kidney table would provide me with an opportunity to target the needs of students in a smaller setting. Aside from that, the dry-erase surface of this table allows me to make small group instruction fun, and not just use pencils and paper. I will use Expo markers in my lessons, magnets, etc.
The table even has a seat for me in the middle so that I can easily guide and help every student. It is also big enough for every student to learn comfortably, interact, and collaborate with classmates.
