The use of outdoor learning has had an immeasurable increase in the overall depth of knowledge students receive. With hands-on learning, students not only hear what they should know, but they get to apply those skills with their hands. Research time and time again has shown that students fully grasp a concept when they are fully immersed in the topic. This is our goal.
A greenhouse is a great way to dive deeper and broaden students learning experience. With a hands-on approach to learning, students can better take the concepts they have to learn and apply them to the real world. Through examples of day-to-day living, students have a better understanding of concepts and how it applies to them.
We with the seed plots and array of vegetables and flowers will teach them how to grow and produce items for themselves. A task they can take and use at home, in starting their own families, and in times of need. With the Solar Panel Kit, we will teach them about sustainable energy and how to use it. It will fuel the needs for the greenhouse, showing real-time just how easy sustainable energy is to use and how effective it can be.
