I am trying to provide a classroom for my students that makes them feel welcomed while also making them happy to be at school. Many of our students come from low income families and their home lives are often full of responsibilities and stress. I am hoping a flexible classroom will help them to look forward to coming to class and help to promote a positive learning environment, while also easing some of the stress already on their minds. Flexible seating will also allow the classroom to feel less forced and promote more partner activity and open participation from students.
