The materials I have chosen to use will aid my children in learning at home when they are not at school. I am making Hands-On-Learning Boxes. In the boxes, I will have a color sorting activity, painting/craft activities, playdough and mats, name/writing activities, letter magnetic board to practice writing skills and letter recognition, and our phonics Letterland book. All of these materials will be stored in plastic boxes for at home easy access.
These activities promote skills in fine motor development, cognitive development, and Language and Literacy skills. It's important for preschool-aged children to get exposed to hand-on-activities in order to be prepared for kindergarten.
