Before COVID-19 there were community supplies for students to share in the classroom. Now with the possibility of returning to school, these individual supplies will encourage safe distancing and limit students from having to share with one another. These materials will go in each student's individual learning box for their personal use only.
If students do not return to school, and continue remote then these supplies can be given to them to take home, whereas many students did not have access to them before.
These everyday supplies are used for all kinds of learning. Teaching in an urban school district, where many families come from different economic backgrounds, often means students come to school without these materials. Whiteboards, clipboards, book bins, notebooks, and pencil boxes have already been purchased. Any donation at all towards these materials will help my students be one step closer to prepared for whatever this upcoming school year may bring!
