I am trying to replace older and broken fitness equipment with a variety of new and updated machines. I believe it is very important to offer as many options for exercise as possible in my program. My students learn about the five components of fitness: muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. During the winter months the cold weather and snow limit my students’ opportunities for cardiovascular fitness. Currently I have many more students than machines, which translates to students standing around waiting, with more aerobic equipment I can accommodate larger classes and have more students moving more often.
