As a middle school Computer Science teacher, I work with students grades 6-8. In addition, I work with students that learn in a variety of ways. Some of my students are more hands-on learners than others. Bringing these Cue robots into the classroom will allow me to provide my students with a real-world example of how coding can be applied in technology. These will appeal to all learning styles in my classroom on a daily basis.
By donating to this project, you will help provide students with an opportunity they might otherwise not get to experience. Our school district is in a very low-income, high poverty area. Middle school is a prime age to empower them to experiment and discover things they might be interested in pursuing after high school. Providing this experience to my students will allow them to learn more about programming, coding, STEM careers, and the vast amount of possibilities for them in a technology-rich world. I am also very interested in beginning a Computer Science club for our middle school students, and these robots will be perfect for my students.
