I am creating a social-emotional learning environment for our K-2 students. Coming back to school after being closed for almost a year has been a difficult change for many of our students.
We want to give them a safe space so that they work on skills to help them overcome anxiety about school situations and help maintain positive relationships with both adults and peers in school.
In the Social-Emotional Learning Environment, we will work on self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relational skills, communication, independence, and responsible decision-making. These all fall into the Nevada Statewide Social and Emotional Competencies.
About my class
