This project was built to bring more sensory items and fine motor skill activities to my classroom. These items will be helpful for my students in times of distress by using fidgets, the weighted lap pad, and weight stuffed animals. They will also meet the sensory needs of some of my students with autism. These items will also help develop fine motor skills by using the beading items, Theraputty, and other manipulatives to build dexterity, strength, and coordination. Receiving these materials will help my students in a BIG way! As a moderate unit, I have a lot of students that need access to sensory play, stimulation, and fine motor skill development every single day. It would be amazing give my students extra tools to use throughout the day to further their education in the way of sensory-play and fine motor skill development!
