Literacy/Reading stations are a crucial opportunity to engage students in small group activities, as well as independent activities. I would love to present tablets to my students in order to engage them during these literacy stations. They will serve a very important purpose as one of our stations and allow my students to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning while I am able to work with another small group on topics that need one on one attention.
These tablets will be the main focus for my students to be able to listen and read stories independently online on their own and engage in comprehension and literacy skills that they need practice in.
It will help them sharpen their listening skills, as well as their independent reading skills. Without these, most of my students will struggle to stay engaged in books that may be too difficult for them or harder to comprehend due to their struggles with reading.
