Every morning my class gathers together at the carpet to share in a picture book. My "big kids" love to be read to as we develop a strong classroom community, share in a group experience, and immerse ourselves in brilliant pictures and literature. Our daily picture book helps students to develop strong relationships with their peers, learn about the theme and literary elements, and start the day off with beautiful life lessons. This routine is our favorite start to the day and we look forward to new titles in our library. This project will provide new literature for us. In addition, our math task cards help us to practice needed skills, and the organization will make this center run smoothly.

About my class
