Before school begins I plan on dropping off a tote bag of of supplies to each of my new third graders homes. I want to give them pencils, notebook paper, pencil sharpeners, crayons, an eraser and a folder to keep their materials together. The students will be able to write their rough drafts before typing and turning in final copies. Those who have very little access to internet can write their answers and bring the work back to school when we're able to go back to school. Since I'll be dropping the supplies at their homes I'll include copies of written work for them.
I know the students will appreciate it because when we in school they are always using the classroom supplies I provide for them. Unfortunately I haven't been allowed back into school to get any of these things for my students.
