The selected titles will support equitable education for all students: specifically, the books represent cultures from around the world and support the development of good humans. Teachers will use these resources within the literacy curriculum to support the implementation of EL Curriculum. During distance learning, we have noticed the need to engage students in thinking about the world around them, simultaneously keeping them interested and wanting to hop onto the computer for online learning. The required texts within EL satisfy the engagement factor as well as learning about the world.
