The student's are reading and learning about the civil rights movement and how it relates to them as students today. Students will create written, verbal, or artistic projects to demonstrate learning about the civil rights period and they will share their projects with family and classmates.
These materials will give students access to learning to help build what they have already learned and continue to gain new information on famous civil rights leaders and how young children lived during a different time period. The students already enjoy learning about famous people from this time period and would greatly benefit from this opportunity!
