These headphones will help my Dual Immersion students in two ways when using tablets to access online libraries. First, they will actually be able to hear the story being read to them. Second, they will be able to record themselves as they read. These headphones will allow me to have multiple students reading at one time and I'll be able to listen to them individually. This will help me tailor my teaching to best meet their individual needs. Beginning readers are loud readers! Learning to read is hard work and my kindergarteners are trying their best to grow their reading muscles! Kids LOVE to hear themselves and being able to record their reading will be a huge motivator for them to keep practicing.
