These books will continue to enhance the library used with my first grade students. It will help to provide a diverse library to meet student needs and interests. The books will also be used for peer tutoring opportunities. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have chosen books that will meet the levels that they are at and that are similar to the titles they have been choosing both in my classroom and from our school library. With these new books students students will be able to choose a book that will allow them to read independently at their level and that interests them. By providing variety, this will allow students to choose books that will help them to grow academically. As they read more, and grow academically in reading, they will get to see their own success which is my ultimate goal. I hope to provide students with a rich print experience and these books will help with that.
