I do small group instruction multiple times a day with various students for various purposes. Having students sit at a table where they are all facing the teacher is in itself so very convenient and helpful for engagement, assessment, questioning, observing, modeling, etc. Having access to every student and every student having access to me and my models are so crucial. We often use whiteboards during some of the activities and although I always prepare it so it works decently, having this table, which is dry erase, would be so amazing. We would have so much more space to write, no boards taking up space, and everyone would have access to their area to write on at all times. It can easily be cleaned up as well. I can model on this table and students can practice tasks on this table. Students will experience engagement, be motivated for small group time, and so much more. I can even use this table as an independent center when I am not doing small group instruction. We can do so many fun sensory activities using this table as well.
