This project will bring news to life for my students. If you ask these 8- and-9-year-old students about the daily news they hear it is filled with local information about crime, loss of life, or weather. Their experience with news is slowly becoming a negative reel of information. They are closed off from the amazing world we live in.
This project will allow them to engage in text-based global experiences and learn about life outside of their small state. It isn't often that we see newspapers being read, even by adults, but these students crave knowledge and information about things outside of their four walls.
Help me bring culture to life for students that may never travel outside of North Carolina.
