Students can't learn academic content like math and literacy until they feel safe and taken care of. Kids who have experienced trauma require additional support to feel this. This project will give my students the tools that they need to stay calm even in the face of all the challenges that hit them. With soft chairs, calming bottle, books related to social-emotional learning and timers students will learn how to take a break and come back better than ever. I hope to give my students the strategies they need while they are still young so that they can thrive not only in 1st grade but in all the
