My students are mild to severely impaired in literacy. They require a multi-sensory approach and a variety of literacy books to support their word work. My students are generally two years below grade level. Thus, the support of a new reading center would be tremendous for my students. This would require the reading recovery starter set and the guided reading level readers. Receiving this would allow for differentiation and more individualized instruction. This would be utilized effectively and an amazing addition to an already established Orton-Gillingham Literacy approach reading program, established to serve students who are significantly below grade level.
