MY classroom is always hungry for food and new ideas. Students come from diverse cultural and economic background.
My Students enjoy hands-on activities and lessons that are engaging and interesting.
The students learn kinesthetically and become invested in the topics through storytelling and critical thinking. Though group activities/games, they learn about the each other by putting themselves in other shoes to better understand others.
While invested in the subjects, they are developing skills that align with the Common Core Standards such as close reading, making logical assumptions and citing specific evidence to support conclusions. They also learn long-term strategies such as empathy, and how to collaborate with one another effectively and share ideas. They will be able to communicate when they sit together and discuss on the general topics, leaning to become a better writer.
I would love to get some more books for my students, especially sci-fi-fi books and hand on materials for my multicultural classroom. some puzzles, some art supplies and some group/board games, no need to mention some healthy snacks…:)
I really appreciate your donations. My students deserve an environment where they don't have to worry about the supplies. I would like to have these supplies so that I can bring more creativity and innovation into my classroom. I look forward to my students having access to awesome supplies!
