My students and many students at my school have expressed that they love drawing and painting so much that my principal have used the remainder of our school funds to get art class for all the students. The art teacher is absolutely wonderful. The only problem is that most of my students don't have art supplies to use during art class. I have provided monthly materials but I only have enough to use it for the core curriculum. My students have drawn on napkins, newspapers, and old worksheet. Some don't have anymore of the glue or markers from what I've sent at the beginning of school year. I have to tell them to use rice to glue our projects together. For them to really understand and appreciate the medium and art form, they would need better art supplies like paint paper, glue, paint, markers, crayons, and construction paper. I can't wait to see the happy faces of my students upon receiving these art supplies for them to showcase their creativity.
