All of the students that we teach in our Response to Intervention small groups are struggling to meet their max potential, but they give us 100% every single day! They are smart, funny and a joy to have in our classes. Having new technology in our RTI small group instruction will give our students the edge that they need to not only succeed but to fulfill the potential that we see in them on a daily basis.
These Chromebooks would be a wonderful benefit for both inclusion and resource students because they would be able to use the most popularly used applications at our school such as Brain Pop, IXL and I-ready. It would also give us another media to use for providing accommodations for any student that has an IEP. We also have a need for dry erase boards for the students to work out the problems in a way that can be easily erased and verified by the teacher. We use the Kleenex tissues as easily disposable erasers that do not need to be shared.
Some of our students have not had access to Chromebooks so this would definitely give them a boost when it comes to state testing at the end of the year!
