I have a group of culturally diverse and energetic 4th grade students with a love of learning. They are excited to learn more about the world especially to research and work collaboratively. Many of the students at our school come from high poverty homes. Our school is over 81% free and reduced lunch. . We have a high percentage of English Language Learners and a large number of culturally diverse students. Many of the students live in single parent homes or are being raised by grandparents or other relatives. We also have a small population of military families. Many of my students lack life experiences and background knowledge needed to excel in school. I hope to foster life long learning skills in my classroom.
