I would like to have a good listening center with real books in hand while listening. Students do not always need to read books, it is nice to listen to books as well and be read to. I am not sure how many of my students get the opportunity to be read to at home. They listen to me read daily, but a listening center allows them to pick their own book choice and listen to a book be read to them, even a chapter book, coming back each week to where they left off. A listening center with many book choices is what I am looking for in my classroom during my literacy centers. Thank you
