A flexible seating option can make a huge difference for a student with ADHD who is unable to sit still for an entire lesson. A stand up desk can give that student the freedom to move their body or kick their leg so that they can focus on the lesson instead of their need to move. It’s time to think outside the box and currently, the box is a seated desk. That seated desk can feel like a prison for a child who needs to move. Having a stand up desk available to my students could be the difference between doing just ok and doing their best!
