The use of computers is a daily activity in my classroom. I teach a course called Keystone. It is a class designed to teach students about careers and career decision-making. Many of the online programs engage their auditory senses. The problem that I'm currently having is that I don't have enough working headphones to accommodate my students. Many are having to make do with broken or defective headphones. The headphones will be used to help students investigate career opportunities by using videos, interviews, and other interactive methods. They will be exposed to careers that need college degrees but also learn about all the careers that don't require a college degree. By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to focus on the material at hand and not whether their headphones are going to work.
