Make & defend a claim based on evidence that inheritable genetic variations may result from new meiotic genetic combinations, viable errors occuring during replication, and/ or mutations caused by environmental factors. It also would address science and engineering practices (SEP 1-8) asking quuestions, developing and using models, planning and carrying out investigations, analyzing and interpreting data, using math and computational thinking, constructing explanations and designing solutions, engaging in argument from evidence and obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information.
