I want to give my students as many opportunities I can to get swept up and away into stories! I hope that with these multiple copies of books, it will give them a chance to connect with a story and be able to discuss it with friends. This really isn't possible (with the exception of textbooks) unless the teacher is lucky enough to have the book sets in his or her classroom. The books I am hoping for would be of special interest to third graders and lean toward the delight and natural intrigue of the children we are teaching. Don't you think it is fun to share a good read with a friend? I do! In fact, so does our class pet, our bearded dragon, Kiwi (who also gets read to once and awhile!)
