Many of our students are low income and may not have the advantage of a stocked kitchen at home from which to select breakfast and snacks.
We keep a pantry stocked with non perishable food items. personal care toiletries, and school supplies that students can select from as needed.
The pantry is located in the College and Career Center; there is a sign out sheet where students can list their student number instead of their name, so other students cannot tell who else is using the pantry. By allowing students to take what they need, we give them agency over their choice to select what they need.
