This will provide all of my students with a digital subscription to El Mundo en Tus Manos, which is a bi-weekly, compelling international newspaper for Spanish learners. Input is so important when learning another language, and this will help them acquire much needed tools to be able to communicate.
Unfortunately, our district textbooks do not have much digital content useful for distance learning. This project will also provide other digital curriculum for lessons including a unit on the environment, brain breaks that work in a virtual classroom, and comprehensible input-based units. This will give my students the variety and novelty in content that they need and crave to keep them engaged during distance learning. And if we end up transitioning back to in-person learning, these resources will still be helpful as we are unlikely to be able to share physical materials this year.
