These models will help my students to actually manipulate the biological molecules that are responsible for what makes them the unique individuals that they are. Each step of the DNA replication and protein synthesis process is able to be modeled by students as they discuss what is happening. These models will help students to actually see their misconceptions in action as they have to move molecules around to create proteins the same as happens in cells. By addressing these misconceptions as they are seen, students will have a better understanding of what they do and don't understand instead of just glossing over the information thinking that they "get it!"

About my class
