These materials will help my students develop artistic drawing skills using charcoal. They will learn value and how to sketch out different forms using charcoal. They will also create their first still-life drawing using charcoal. Students will start off with a week of practicing charcoal techniques until they begin to get familiar with the material. Once they master each shading technique they will begin to work on drawing forms. The learning outcome for each student is once they are ready to complete their final project they will be able to use each charcoal technique to create a final charcoal still-life master piece!
