All of my students love to read. We have only been in school three full weeks and most of them have a list of books that they read over summer/quarantine.
Since the second day of school my students have been asking to take AR tests. Currently my classroom does not have access to taking AR tests in the classroom, but I would love to change that.
We do independent reading for at least 30 minutes a day so that they can develop their fluency. During this time, I will be allowing them to take their AR tests over their books. They work so hard to reach their goal by the end of the year, that I want to give them every opportunity to met that goal while in class.
By having these iPads, I will be able to have them around the classroom for them to use during independent reading.
