The headphones will enable my students to work in customized learning centers, improve their reading comprehension and fluency, practice focused listening, support IEP accommodations, and ELL learners.
The reading levels in my class have a wide range. The headphones will support the low readers in their individual learning journey, and will also enable my high readers to continue to progress.
Headphones will allow all of my students to practice focused listening, and will improve the classroom experience for all, and help increase the pace of learning. I will create learning centers with different audio content for each group of students based on reading level.
The headphones are critical to IEP accommodations. They require audio listening as part of the plan. Currently, this creates a lot of noise in the class.
Our classroom also have several English language learners (ELL) and a customized audio learning experience would help them learn English. Currently, we need to have other students from other classrooms translate for our least proficient English speakers (e.g. Level 1 learner).
