Having a carpet with color names, numbers and the alphabet in both English and Spanish is going to be extremely valuable. This carpet will be a great away to introduce both English and Spanish to the kids in a fun vibrant and creative way. Some of the kids in the class are being introduced to the English language for the first time, having these visuals will really help them. This carpet will be a great way to help them retain that knowledge. They are on the carpet at least one hour out of the day, for the morning meeting, transitions, and circle time, so the exposure will be consistent. I also plan on doing small group activities base on numbers, colors, and letters on the carpet.
