Being in a special needs classroom, math and elar skills are concentrated on a lot and those resources seem to be much more readily available. Science and social studies resources are harder to find and much more expensive. These educational materials will allow me to extend my students learning with hands on activities and experiments which is how my students learn best. I will be able to plan lessons where the students get more breaks from paper and pencil activities and learn through completing tasks. This is when they learn the most and I will not be able to provide these opportunities in these subjects without materials such as these.
