My students come in each morning to have 30 minutes of free play. There are morning tubs on each table for the students to construct objects with the materials in the bin. This is a time where students are building, constructing, being creative, and using social skills.
My students learn to communicate, share, and express themselves through play. They are working together to build things or solve problems. They are learning to communicate when they need something from a different part of the table or from a different bin.
The joy I see in my students face is amazing. I want to add to the materials I have for my students to explore new things. I am want to be able to change the materials more frequently so they are having to solve something new.
