At the moment, my students are using 10-year-old sporadically functioning calculators. Due to the small amount of calculators that still work, students must pair up in order to complete assignments that require the use of a calculator. I hope to start off the year by having a new calculator for each student to use independently. This would help increase their academic growth in mathematics as well as allow them to be more independent with completing work. Students' confidence and understanding of mathematical concepts will also rise as they progress throughout the challenging curriculum.
