As I transition from an instructional coach to providing small group literacy support, I want to provide all of my students with a very cozy learning environment that will will be organized as well as personalized. Being out of the classroom for many years, I am starting from scratch.
I want my students to walk into my decorated classroom that is full of color and personalized with messages of encouragement throughout the room. By filling the room with positive words of inspiration and infusing these words into my small group instruction, my students will develop the confidence to overcome their literacy deficits and develop a love of reading. In addition, it is very important to provide a very organized environment for students to waste no time in engaging in learning materials.
