While we are practicing social distancing with COVID-19, my students will be given updates of tourism attractions around town that are still thriving. This would put them in the viewpoint of action while doing things such as mountain biking, surfing, boating, walking nature trails, kayaking, etc. Students will receive a "hands-on" experience and be able to expand their knowledge of the tourism industry beyond hotels and restaurants. I plan to take these adventures during this period of social distancing in order to help my students still learn about Wilmington's tourism destinations. By learning about the natural touristic destinations in our area, students will gain a wider perspective of the hospitality and tourism industry.
