My students are Title 1 students and many have said they do not have books. These books will allow us to read together and work on 5th grade skills about character analysis, history lessons in learning, analyzing how the literature is written, and discussing the importance of empathy in society. Using this book we can discuss in online literature circles and continue our connections. Students will have an opportunity to have a book and practice daily reading. They love novel studies! To make it the best, this is a book they can keep in thier home as long as they wish.
